Division of Fluid Dynamics Annual Meeting 2024

The project was thoroughly represented at The American Physical Society – Division of Fluid Dynamics Annual Meeting 2024, this time held in Salt Lake City, USA, from 24th to 26th November.
The Division of Fluid Dynamics Annual Meeting is one of the most important conferences in the field of fluid dynamics in the world, with more than 3,000 attendees, from all around the world, sharing the latest developments in the field.

Almost all of the project team attended the conference, and were all given the opportunity to present their research and findings in oral or poster presentations.

The list below details three of the presentation titles, but there were many more!

Reinforcement learning for turbulent drag reduction of realistic road vehicles with dynamic flaps (Session L33: Drag Reduction II: General 8:00 AM–10:36 AM, Monday, November 25, 2024)
Wake Dynamics of Heavy Road Vehicles: Characterization and Control with Rear Flaps (Session L33: Drag Reduction II: General 8:00 AM–10:36 AM, Monday, November 25, 2024)
Model-based reinforcement learning for chaotic flow control (Session X33: Flow Control IV: General 8:00 AM–10:23 AM, Tuesday, November 26, 2024)
